The backsplash is stainless steel painted black.
The edge of the breakfast bar is finished in
concrete.  The edge of the cabinet is finished in
stainless steel.

Another angle of the breakfast bar and counter top. The counter top appears to be quite dark but notice in the following pictures how vivid the pattern of color is with light on the surface.

These two sections of counter top are the same.
